Each genset, before release, undergoes a rigid eighty seven-point inspection process (one hundred ten-point if with soundproof canopy) and a stringent load testing utilizing a modern state-of-the-art loadbank.

	Perkins water-cooled, direct injection, four-stroke diesel engine. Perkins means diesel and gas power in more than 160 countries, trusted as primemover by more than 600 original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Perkins dominates the world market in genset primemovers from 30 to 750 kVA. Over 300,000 engines produced each year in 13 countries and over 14 million units produced since 1930. 	The engine/alternator assembly and radiator are mounted on anti-vibration mounts on a substantial steel fabricated and welded base frame constructed to include a base fuel tank with a minimum capacity for continous operation of 8 hours. Fuel tank fittings include fuel-fill points fuel level indicator, breather, drain plug, and flexible fuel feed and return lines.

	Constructed from heavy gauge sheet metal, it has instrumentation mounted on a hinged front door, giving access to internal control circuitry. Standard instruments are: Ammeter with selector switch Charging Ammeter Voltmeter and phase selector switch Suitably scaled frequency meter Coolant temperature gauge Lube-oil pressure gauge Auto-crank engine protection module Moulded case circuit breaker Automatic engine shutdown for low oil pressure Automatic engine shutdown for high water temperature The panel comes complete with all internal wiring, control circuit relays, protective fuses, terminations etc., and all circuit components/control switches.

	The voltage accuracy is ±1% in static condition with any power factor and with speed variation between -5% and +30% with reference to the rated speed.

Manufactured from probably the most modern-fully automated ISO 9001-certified alternator factory in the world. But Mecc-Alte's greatest pride is its revolutionary UVR6 voltage regulator (only for 270 kVA and up)-the heart and soul of any alternator. To date, still is unmatched by any other alternator maker in the world. With its 40,000 operating hours median time between breakdowns, Cumper is probably the only generator here in the world carrying a 3-year warrany* for its Mecc-Alte UVR6 voltage regulators-the true measure of confidence. (* incidental expenses for its replacement, eg. transportation, lodging, etc. are excluded), ( non-UVR6 AVR's carry same warranty of genset) Note: Newage-Stamford, Marathon, and Leroy-Somer alternators are available as an option.

	The self-regulation is obtained through an electronic regulator. The regulator is fed by an auxiliary winding which guarantees an almost constant supply under any possible operating condition of the generator. Equipped with the new interchangeable U.V.R.6 or S.R.7/2 regulator, it ensures the same performance.

	The voltage can be regulated by the "VOLT" potentiometer of the electronic regulator. By connecting a 100KiloOhm potentiometer in the proper terminals; it is also possible to obtain a remote voltage regulation in a range of 5% of the related voltage.

	At full load and no load, at constant speed, there is a transient voltage variation lower than 15% of the rated voltage. In such conditions, the 3% voltage resetting will occur in 0.2 seconds for powers up to 300 KVA, while for higher powers it will occur in 0.3 seconds. Make reference to the user's manual for more details.

	The permissible overloads are of 300% for 20 seconds, of 50% for 2 minutes and of 10% for 1 hour every 6 hours of operation.

	Can function in parallel among themselves, notwithstanding the type of alternator, and/or in parallel with the mains provided that they are equipped with the special device. This device is available upon request for the alternators up to 375 KVA, while the alternators with a higher power are equipped with this as standard equipment. In case of parallel with the mains we offer the P.F.R. 96/1 electronic device which controls the alternator's reactive current and/or power factor of the alternator.

	The standard generators comply with the specification VDE 0875, degree "G" and "N" and with the basic safety requirements of the European regulation on electromagnetic compatibility; by applying the European standards EN 50081-1 and EN 50082-1, we comply with the above mentioned regulation. On request we can supply filters for more restrictive specifications such as VDE 0875, degree "K", ML 461-462 D, etc.
